About 60.7 million citizens have voted in Turkey, while 3.4 million voters were registered abroad. In this election, 4.9 million citizens voted for the first time.
A total of 191,885 voting boxes were raised for voters in the country.
Each voter cast two votes -- one for the president and the other for the parliamentarians, who will serve five-year mandates.
Voters will choose between President Recep Tayip Erdoğan, seeking re-election, main opposition candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and Sinan Oğan.
Muharrem Incre, another presidential contender, withdrew from the race earlier Thursday.
However, despite his withdrawal, Turkey's Supreme Election Council (YSK), the election authority, has confirmed the validity of votes for the candidate.
Over 30 political parties and 150 independent parliamentary candidates will compete in the elections.
Five multiparty blocks are in the race: The People's Alliance, the Coalition of the Nation, the Alliance of ancestors, the Labour and Freedom Alliance and the Alliance of the Union of Socialist Forces. /abcnews. al
