Since 2011, the Anti-Corruption Agency has published the assets of Kosovo Intelligence Agency officials. But this year, he has decided to act differently. Keep this information to myself. Why did this happen?
Corruption Prevention Agency - The APK has published property declaration records for senior officials working in Kosovo institutions. Unlike other times, the wealth declaration has not been made public for senior officials of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency AKI, writes Periscope.
The declaration of property for top public officials for the first time has started to take place by 2010. The wealth of former Kosovo intelligence chief, Bashkim Smaca and Z. Director, Latif Merovci for the first time, they were published on the page of Anti-Kurkorproson in 2011. Since that year, until 2022, senior AKI officials have made the statement every time and as such it has been published.
Last year wealth has been made public Petit Ajet, Agon Bytych and Burim Ramadani.
This year, agency officials have decided to be even more mysterious.
Their wealth to Director Ajjeti, his deputy Bytyqi and inspector, Metom Shala do not figure out the latest statement and publication AKP has made.
There is an explanation for this, the Corruption Prevention Agency.
On August 10th, 2022, we report that the new Law on Declaration, Determination and Control of Riches and Gifts was published in the official newspaper 08/L-108. Kosovo Intelligence Agency officials have declared property in the Agency for Prevention of Corruption within the set legal deadline, as regards the publishing of records, Article 12 Paragraph 3 of the Law has determined the limit on access to records by the AKI institution that declarative subjects from the ranks of the Kosovar Intelligence Agency or Security Forces or members of their family holding confidential positions are obliged to declare wealth under this law, but their declaration is not public. So the leaders of the AKI declare property in the APK for verification, but it is not published”, the APK's information office said Periscope.
This office has suggested that, access to data from Kosovo Intelligence Agency officials is also defined with legislation regulating AKI work.
According to the Law on Declaration, Freedom and Control of High Public Officials No. 03L 151, the regular annual deadline for declaring the state of property of senior public officials is March 31st./Periscopi/
