The Serbian church continues with the old avaz: Kosovo should not be accepted indirectly or directly

The assembly of the Serbian Orthodox Church (KOS) announced that any admission, indirect or direct, of Kosovo's independence would be in direct opposition to international law, the UN Charter and other acts and principles. At the KOS Parliament's regular annual session, it is said that such a thing does not have the support of the UN Security Council, nor of most countries of the world, including the five EU nations.
This would inevitably cause the increasing migration of the Serbian people and would make it impossible not only the peaceful coexistence of all, regardless of ethnic and religious background, but also the very survival of our people in its centuries - old hearths. Therefore, solutions should be required exclusively in respecting principles that apply equally to everyone in the world”, the KOS Assembly announced.
Furthermore, the Serbian church said Serbs decided to be washed by Kosovo institutions “following dozens of attacks on them and their homes in Kosovo”, while adding that their return would only be when the Serbian Major Commission Association is established.
It is clear that the goal of Kosovo institutions is to create an ethnically Albanian Kosovo in which Serbs can hardly have a free and normal life. In this case, the Church also condemns all attacks on the Serbian people, holy objects and its property, especially armed terrorist attacks on individual Serbs, including children, as well as secret lists on which Serbs -- even former Kosovo police members -- are arrested and banned. The expropriation of Serb property lands is also being done illegally in order to exert additional pressure and to be forced to migrate”, the Serbian Orthodox Church says.
In response it is said to be in a very difficult situation, because the highest Albanian officials do not accept even those guarantees that prove true to Kosovo's laws.
Our <x)Kisa in Kosovo and Metohija needs much more active international protection against the discriminatory behaviour of Kosovo institutions with added international guarantees and effective supervision, in order to prevent all possible abuses and to monitor the implementation of laws and judicial decisions, which should not be interpreted, changed or abolished completely arbitraryly, and all at the expense of our” church, KOS said in the announcement.
