Rama for taking in revenues from the Government: It's illegal, we'll fight every attempt

Pristina Chairman Progress Rama, in a proposal for Online Economy, said at Monday's co-ordination meeting between Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the mayors The municipalities have somehow agreed to return to the municipalities for their own income.

He said self-investance by law belongs to municipalities to use for the better of citizens and that they cannot be replaced.

He even says that they will fight every attempt to get their tools, adding that this form is illegal.

I think that self-lawed revenues actually belong to municipalities, so the capital's personal revenues are the capital's citizens and they can't be replaced. Any normal attempt that is illegal, we will fight any attempt. We had a real meeting with the prime minister and the minister of finance, where they also somehow agreed that their personal revenues would be returned, allowed to use for projects that are waiting for the benefit of the capital”.

“I hope that this issue will end for the good of the citizens and all the municipalities I'm hoping for within the week we'll have our own income so that we can use it for many projects that the capital awaits citizens here. I'm optimistic that we've chosen this case”, he said.

He added that on this issue the Association of Kosovo municipalities has been addressed to the Government with a letter, stating that the process of carrying municipal vehicles is expected to ease, EO reports.

Now they've requested a letter that I personally, we as the capital sent two weeks ago are now searching for another letter from the Kosovo Commission Association, and we've sent it, asked the Association to send it. I believe the process of carrying tools will be released to relevant municipalities”, he said.

With the Budget Bill for 2023 The government has predicted that if a municipality's personal revenues are not spent over a year, they will be taken and donated to other municipalities or used at the central level.
