According to her, elections in the north are held because it requires the Constitution and legislation in force. Osmani said that now the mayors are obliged to take their oath within the appointed legal terms.
The first of the state now added importance is for elected mayors to work with citizens living in these four municipalities and to convince them that all the project is in their best interests.
“Sic knows the elections are held because our Constitution and legislation in force requires that elections be held whenever a mayor resigns. What has created this situation has been the resignation of former mayors of the northern municipalities. In this situation we have had constitutional and legal obligations, and security institutions have done their utmost to make the election day go without a problem”.
We are currently in a situation where despite the small percentage of law does not require any particular percentage of participation. And the mayors and all the chosen ones have the obligation to take their vows within legal terms and start their work”. And what's important is that all the mayors work with the citizens who live in these four municipalities and convince them that all the project is in their best interests, the administrative services are in their best interests, security is in their best interests. Economic projects empower them, so each action is for the good of citizens and not the opposite, and we expect all these procedures to go smoothly and without any tension”, she said.
She said boycotting elections by Serbian citizens has been without their will and initiated by President Aleksandar Vuciqi and has been implemented by illegal structures in the north.
The “Bojkot of Serbian citizens there has not been voluntary has been a forced boycott that has been promoted by Vuci in Serbia and implemented by its illegal and criminal structures in northern Kosovo, which have constantly scared, blackmailed and threatened Serbian citizens in the north”, she said.
