The declaration represents a major step towards ending the pandemic and comes three years after O The BSH first declared its highest alarming level over the virus.
Officials said the death rate had dropped from a peak of more than 100,000 people a week in January 2021 to just over 3,500 on April 24th, the BBC reported.
WHO leader Tedros Adhanom Ghebraesus said that “at least 20 million” people are dead.
