Tried to launch corruption trial against former adviser and former Ramush Haradinaj cabinet chief

Because former Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's former adviser, Jahja Luka, missed Tuesday's session, it has failed to hold an initial review in the case where he and former cabinet chief, Gani Demaj, are accused of misusing office or official authority. To Luca, an order will be issued to verify the address and hand over the invitation. [...]
Luka and Demaj are accused of misusing official office, in case of performing jobs in the cemetery of martyrs and heroes like Adem Demacci, Ahmet Krasniqi, Qazim Jakupi, Ilir Konushevci and Haziri Malaj, reports “Justice Vowtim”.
Regarding the absence of indictee Luka, the case judge, Gezim Ademi, said that the sheet has reportedly found the same one abroad.
On the other hand, the prosecutor, Bashkim Bashkim, and Demaj, his defender, lawyer, Mejim Kreveshi, were present.
Thus, in the absence of legal conditions for keeping an initial examination, today's session was postponed, and the next was scheduled on June 30, 2023.
Meanwhile, to the accused Luka, Judge Ademi said the court would issue an order to verify the address and hand over the invitation.
Otherwise, according to the indictment compiled on September 22nd, 2022, by Pristina Foundation Prosecutor Jahja Luka and Gani Demaj are being accused of misusing official office or authority.
The Actakuz says the accused Luka as an official person -- exploiting office or official authority, in the position of political adviser to Kosovo Republic Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, has exceeded his competencies in the case of direct engagement of the company “NTP Art Cora”, for performing jobs in the tomb of martyrs and heroes: Adem Demacci, Ahmet Krasniqi, Qazim Jakupi, Ilir Konushevci and Haziri Malaj, on whom the upper company legally benefits.
While, according to the indictment, the accused Demaj is exploiting office or official authority -- namely, in his position as head of the cabinet of the prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj -- has overstepped his competencies, which has acted illegally, signing bills for the upper cemetery.
According to the indictment, accused Luka and Demaj have acted contrary to the Public Procurement Law, the Public Finance Management Law, the regulation for the spending of public money, as well as the Order for Administrations of Administration of the Office of the Prime Minister and Ministers, so that the same people have ignored procurement procedures, and denied the right to other companies' competition, working without a draft, without a report of delivery of the works, without the management of the works or the commission for evaluations of the work done in Kosovo's 92 thousand euro worth of budget.
With these actions, Luka and Demaj are being charged each except that they have committed criminal work “The use of official position or authority”, by Article 422, paragraph 2, concerning Article 81 of the Republic of Kosovo's Criminal Code.
