Kurti at the meeting with KFOR Commander: Police conducted official duty, municipality objects are Kosovo property

The Kosovo government has announced the meeting the country's prime minister, Albin Kurti, had with KFOR Commander Angelo Riestuccia, following recent developments in the country's north. The new mayors of northern municipalities, Kurti said, would exercise their duty without obstruction.
“Prime Minister Kurti stressed that the mayors -- elected by free and democratic elections -- should exercise their duties and responsibilities to provide quality public services to all citizens, without obstacles”, the communiqué says.
“Also, Prime Minister Kurti announced to Commander Riztuccia that Kosovo Police have committed that, under official duty, to enable these mayors to enter their workplace and serve all citizens indiscriminately and without discrimination”, it is now said.
According to Kurti, municipality objects in the north are the property of the Republic of Kosovo.
