Foreign Minister Donika Grovalla said that given the European Union's 10th economic sanctions package, Kosovo approves the initial measures.
The following is the support of the Russian Federation's opposition to aggression against Ukraine, in accordance with EU and US measures, we propose changing the decision to implement the EU's 10th Pack against the Russian Federation and Belarus”, Gervalla said.
“In response to Russian aggression in Ukraine, the EU on February 25, 2023 approved this package of economic sanctions. This package included exports of critical industrial goods technology, imports of asphalt and synthetic rubber, securing gas storage capacity for Russians, transit through Russia for EU exported goods”, it has added.
Gervala also indicated that additional sanctions have been imposed against 87 individuals and 34 Russian subjects.
“The EU suspended the licenses of RT Arabic and Sputnik Arabic broadcasters, limited the possibility of Russian citizens holding any position in the EU's infrastructure management bodies and critical entities, imposed additional sanctions against 87 individuals and 34 subjects, including military leader's top decision-makers, Wagner's commanders, and risk producers”, Gervala concluded.
