Ibishi: Vuciqi is straining the situation in the north to step up pressure to establish association

Security Affairs expert Nuredin Ibishi says that behind the recent actions of illegal parallel structures in the country's north to prevent access to municipal facilities in Zubin Potok and Zvecan remains the Serbian president, Aleksandar Vuciq, and the Serbian Security Council. According to him, this is aimed at straining the situation [...]
According to him, this is aimed at straining the situation for internationals to step up pressure on Kosovo for establishing association with executive competencies.
However, he believes the mayors issued by the April 23rd elections will manage to pledge despite the mobilisation of Serb parallel structures to block access to municipalities in Zubin Potok and Zvecan.
In the face of such a situation, where Serb extremists are trying to place irons at the entrances of these municipalities, Ibishi says Kosovo institutions must do their job. But, as he says, further tension on the situation is not exempt.
In an interview for KosovoPress, the security expert says a political solution will be required to date.
This will bring tension to northern Kosovo and police will do their job, but I think this will go beyond that and require a political solution... These elections have been completely legal, made with a delay that our strategic partners, the QUINT countries, the EU... Even the Kosovo government should be in a consistent form in its decisions, always consulting with our strategic partners, until a political solution”, he says.
According to him, Serbia's goal is to establish the Association with executive rights.
Thereafter, each goal is to create an association with full competence that enables the creation of a new entity, which may be similar to the Republika Srpska and that goes beyond what the international community gives to the Serb community... This is about an opportunity for them to create political autonomy with executive rights... This is strictly at the order of Vucinqi, of their Security Council, with its exhibits what it has north of Kosovo”, he says.
And straining the situation according to him will always be motivated by Vuciki himself.
The “Tension will be continued by the Serbian side with Vuciki's orders. They will do everything they can to prevent jobs, inauguration, or when the assembly is established, when the mayors are sworn in, in order to receive favors in the event of international pressure on the Kosovo government”, Ibishi points out.
He emphasises that Kosovo institutions should target the secession of northern Serbs from the influence of official Belgrade and Serb extremists.
“We need to think on the long-term plan of how to make the integration of the Serb community in the north without the influence of Belgrade and without the influence of Serb extremists who are constantly for division, a kind of voice addressing a community of municipalities that leads to autonomy, which every time preachs a secession”, he says.
We remember that five days ago, Serbian illegal structures in Zubin Potok have placed bars on the main door in the object of this municipality, where Chairman Izmir Zeqiri is expected to swear.
Today, at 1:00 p.m., Kosovo police have detained two people who had been captured by welding irons at the Zvecan municipality facility.
It was Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, who warned as he called it, <x0 mass crisis”, after the May 2nd meeting in Brussels, where Kosovo did not accept the draft status drafted by the former management team, which consisted of four Serbs.
