The American emissary for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, said a few days ago that they are awaiting Kosovo's version of the Asociation station.
LDK Deputy Chairman Lutfi Haziri, speaking of “Gazeta Blic” on the issue, said the government, with the signing of the Ohrid Agreement, has taken on obligations for its draft status and implementation and that any delay is at the expense of Kosovo.
“Kosovo has taken charge of implementation, Serbia has no access to association either in the draft-Sttut. Kosovo has ratified the agreement in 2013, it has received international obligations, and these international obligations have now taken place for 10 years. This government, with the signing of the Ohrid agreement, has taken on obligations for the draft status and for the implementation, so any delay is at the expense of its” Haziri said.
Asked about the failure to implement the agreements reached by the Serbian state, Haziri thus responded.
Serbia has many problems and in understanding Kosovo's engagements and lobbies for recognition and obstruction in its international walk, but it is its problem. We have more powerful partners who can neutralise it because Serbia will never stop. It will create the impression that it is always stopping, it is abstained, but it is in fact always going against the independence of Kosovo” Haziri said.
At the meeting held in Brussels on 2 May between Prime Minister Kurti and Serbian President Vuciq, the Managing Team, introduced the draft association status draft.
This draft was rejected and deemed illegal and not in line with the Constitution by Prime Minister Kurti.
A day after the Brussels meeting, Administration and Local Power Minister Elbert Krasniqi dismissed the four members of the team from office.
Asked by “Gazeta Blic” when the new team is expected to be formed, Krasniqi gave the answer.
I don't think there should be any new team. The draft is not relevant, Prime Minister Kurti has presented a government vision, and it is important for us”, said Minister Krasniqi.
