Government: Step by step, Kosovo approaches European Union

According to a issued statement, the government cites several achievements it says Kosovo is approaching the European Union step by step.

” Today, there is an important day on our continent, May 9, Europe Day. This day recalls French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman's statement, which spoke for the first time about the idea of Europe. Europe, which would no longer be a continent destroyed by wars and rivalry, but a political project of peace, prosperity and freedom.

On Europe Day, we as Government reaffirm Kosovo's design towards integration into the European Union. During the past year alone, our country has made significant steps on the path to European integration as the first positive vote in phases towards membership in the Council of Europe, the conclusion of the visa liberalisation process and application for membership in the European Union.

Step by step, Kosovo is approaching the European Union. Citizens of our country who embrace and embody European values may already feel closer to Europe. Kosovo is found in an unrecognizable trajectory on the road to the EU.
