The context between the Serbian Orthodox Church (KOS) and the Macedonian Orthodox Church (KOM) since Saturday of May 20th is officially a thing of the past.
The Ohrid Orthodox Archbishop joined the synod of the Macedonian Orthodox Church-The Ohrid Archbishop, which is the final stage in overcoming disputes between the KOS and the KOM.
The Parliament of the Serbian Orthodox Church announced on Saturday, at the end of its session, that it has made a decision to integrate the Ohrid Orthodox Archbishop into the synod of the Macedonian Orthodox Church, the Ohrid Archbishop.
The dispute between the two churches occurred when the Macedonian Orthodox Church was uncanonicly separated from the Serbian Orthodox Church, declaring itself completely independent, which the Serbian Orthodox Church and other Orthodox churches did not recognise, Beta broadcasts.
Following a long-term rejection of the Macedonian Orthodox Church to return to its previous status, the Ohrid Orthodox Archbishop was formed as autonomous within the Serbian Orthodox Church.
From last year's assembly, the Serbian Orthodox Church gave Tomos (act church issued by the patriarch and the synod), with which it recognized the autocephas for the Macedonian Orthodox Church, but remained to be declared is the status of the Ohrid Orthodox Archbishop.
For this reason, as noted in the statement, “Kong made a decision to release the canonical of the hierarchy of this church autonomous by the Serbian Orthodox Church and its integration into the synod of the Macedonian Orthodox Church, in accordance with the sacred canons and constitutions of our two local churches, as well as the agreement previously reached by the synodes of the three church structures”.
In church circles, on the eve of this assembly, the integration of the Ohrid Orthodox Archbishop of the Macedonian Orthodox Church was cited as the most likely solution to the diocese division in northern Macedonia, so that bishops of the Ohrid Orthodox Archbishop could have their dioceses.
The report says that Archbishops of the Ohrid Orthodox Archbishop were present in the town. On the eve of the assembly, we learn, the delegation of the Macedonian Orthodox Church and the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Porfirije, met in Patricana. / REL
