In addition to recruiting new directors, the priority says they have given to educational institutions. In Pristina schools, Musmurati says they have not left anyone without psychologists, while at nests they aim to set up security cameras.
The reason for the cameras, according to Musmurati, is not the risk of privacy but for outside parties.
“There were such nests, we have eight public nurserys. There were no security cameras at all, now we're providing the new contract. There have been several nests that half of the cameras have worked and the other half haven't worked, but now with the new contract we're setting up all these problems so that all nests have the proper supervision. I'm still saying, security cameras should be treated as security cameras for outside ones who can vandalize the nest or something, and in no way are cameras in class or in places where they can risk the privacy of children or educators”, Musmati says.
As for recruiting directors in schools -- the first education in Pristina -- says it is being done in co-operation with the British Embassy. He says he is among the most transparent processes in Pristina.
We've started with the new process of recruiting directors. We've recruited about 10 positions, there are 30 other positions of directors and deputy directors. We've done it in co-operation with the British Embassy for the first time in the Pristina municipality, and it's really been one of the most transparent processes so far that we've organised it and for which I am proud so far”, she says.
Musmurat says they have managed to employ a psychologist in all Pristina schools, leaving none without him.
I am pleased that no Pristina school is without psychologists and this is for the first time and is a very big achievement. We're working with the University of Pristina, the Boy Psychology Department with empirical measurements for the result these employment has had. I think we need a national reflection and review the tasks that school psychologists have with administrative instruction. I think there's a better place to do a job description of their” tasks, she said, as they intend to create a digital system where random reporting is made.
We're trying to create a digital system where the case reporting is anonymously done so that children don't feel the pressure of reporting, or maybe the whole banal to something that is bigger and involving school psychologist”, she said.
