The director of this clinic, Ardian Shefkiu, has made that known to Radio Kosovo. According to him, of the five operating halls with the Paddy Surgery Clinic, two are out of office as a result of lack of staff.

We have a lack of anesthesia staff and therefore we are unable to open our emergency room. Three halls are in operation and two of them are out of office because of the lack of anesthesia staff and the other support staff, which are nurses, technicians and the rest of the logistics”, he said.

Days ago the Gjilan hospital has also accepted a new mammmography device. But for lack of staff, it is not known when this will function.

The Health Director in the Gjilan municipality, Aurora Osmani, admits they are understaffed, but he says they will soon make solutions.

It's true that we have a lack of staff in primary healthcare, but we are in the process of recruiting. So the competition has just been closed and we'll make the solution” soon, she said.

Also because of lack of health staff in the Gjakova municipality at the “Hospital Isa Grezda” has medical equipment that is out of order. This is confirmed by the hospital's spokesman, Besart Gashi.
