According to security and sociologist experts, economic conditions, disappointment with institutions are some of the reasons Kosovars are being urged to do so.

As they count the consequences that can result if such a trend continues in the years to come.

Melihate Shala, who works in education, says in no way would give up on being Kosovo.

Out of Kosovo's citizenship, some more will not give up.

But not all share that opinion.

Within January alone, February and March more than a thousand citizens gave up their citizenship in Kosovo.

That is how the data published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs reveals.

“During the January-March 2023 period, 1,019 citizenship freedom decisions have been made in the State Division: 1,008 positive decisions, 11 negative decisions and 893 requirements”, said by MPB.

According to data, the largest number of Kosovo citizens who have relinquished Kosovo citizenship are from Germany, followed by Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and others.

I gave up Kosovo citizenship, according to security issues connoisseur Fatmir Colaku, is not a good indicator.

While sociologist Genx Xerxa has shown some of the reasons for sending citizens to this decision.

He has even counted the consequences of continuing such a trend.

While according to MPB data in the first three months of this year, 377 citizenship-profit decisions have been made.
