Council for Human Protection, Rights and Freedoms ( KMDLNY has condemned the three-person attack on journalist Valon Syla last night, saying he called on the law bodies so that as soon as they are caught and punished by the attackers.
KMDLNj also called for the institutions of opinionists by law, but that, according to them, the state itself has contributed to the escalation of violence against journalists.
“Violence against journalists, opinion makers must be protected by law from the state and that, especially recently, the state has failed to fulfill this legal obligation even with some irresponsible submission has only contributed to the escalation of violence against journalists. Furthermore, threats to journalists are also being made by holders of key posts in Kosovo institutions that are not being punished by anyone but are taking place in international reports of organisations dealing with the rights of journalists and freedom of speech and of expression”, KMDLNj reportedly in the response.
The KMDLNj took to heart journalist Valon Syla to be active and in the future, “in defense of truth and affirmation of freedom of expression”.
