Begaj praised the contribution NATO intelligence structures make to meeting complex security challenges.
Among other things, President Begaj, as the press office reports, underlined that co-operation between our country's intelligence structures with those of NATO is essential to preventing the mountain influences of non-friendly countries.
Begaj also discussed the situation in the Western Balkans region, where despite progress made, the efforts of actors with geopolitical ambitions are observed to expand influence and undermine Euro-integration processes.
“Kreu of the state stressed that the agreement reached for normalising relations of the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia is a positive step and should advance with the achievement of concrete results. The normalisation of relations should be centered towards mutual recognition and Kosovo membership in international bodies such as the UN and NATO”, the presidency reports.
The president concluded that Albania's intelligence and security structures will continue to contribute and co-operate closely with NATO structures.
