Moreover, Ukraine's regional officials claimed that overnight grants in Zaporija had killed at least three civilians.
Ukraine's General Staff reported that they had backed over 170 Russian offensive shares in the east and northeast, which is more than double the number compared to the previous 24 hours.
Most of the attacks targeted the city of Bakhmut, but other areas such as Lyman, Avdijvka and Shakhtarsk were also targeted.
The Ukrainian Army confirmed that Russia continued to advance towards Bakhmut with the intention of attacking the city.
Russian forces have launched numerous infantry attacks to surround and sever Ukraine's supply lines. Despite the city's destruction, tens of thousands of civilians are still inside Bakhmut.
The military also reported artillery fires on the west bank of the Dnieper River in Kherson, from which Russian forces were withdrawn in November.
According to the morning General Staff report, Russian attacks on civilian and infrastructure targets were also reported in the northeast region of Kharkiv and Poltvas in central Ukraine, wounding people and damaging infrastructure.
