Rugovas require the removal of private properties from the plan for the <x0) National Park “Bejeks of Nemuna”

Citizens from Peja, Veton Mujaj, said over 330 people in a unanimously public debate opposed the spatial plan for the Subunia <x0 National Park “Bressors, but, as he said, appeared to have encountered deaf ears.

We are dealing with a law, the law for the National Park of the NemunaBs, which was adopted in 2013 and implemented in 2015. Since then, there has been no specific act of law. I see this as a legal act of national park law... The problem that this washing causes if it is decided, in addition to the payments, even though the minister says there will be no payment for residents, but there will be problems for the occupants' guest and people in their homes. Residents demand that this plan not be decided and the law be changed, and that private properties be removed from the national park... Over 330 people who were in public debate have unanimously said no. This still appears to have run into deaf ears because on the parliamentary commission, it has immediately been passed for the introduction to parliament”, Mujaj said.

While Peja Community spokesman Faik Zekaj stated that they were anxious to remove the park area because, according to him, it is causing them problems in construction and “nobody is taking responsibility”.

He said it is a good project, but it remains to be seen whether it will be voted on by MPs, until he added that they are and are concerned about residents.

We've requested that the park area be removed because we're having a lot of construction problems and nobody's taking responsibility. I believe there's been a good project, but we still have to see in the assembly how they're flowing or how they're reacting in the convent... They're asking for both tourists and not residents. I believe this should be resolved with an agreement that is signed and not left with words, which would have been so. It's in the bill we've expressed and we're dealing with the concerns of the residents because we don't like us, we have to protect the interest of the residents every time, but at the same time, we have to take into account that we have to protect also park”, the Zaqqaj potential.

He added that through public hearings, citizens' complaints have been addressed and that it is not correct for some people who do not visit or know Rugova to decide on it.

I believe they've taken into account the concerns of the residents, to vote, and if not, I don't know how a plan can be done when the concerns of those people who live there are not taken care of. It is not correct that some people who do not visit or know many Rugova decide on him... We have had public hearings and attended and MPs and they will be reasonable with the demands of residents who had them in that public hearing. Public listening, citizen hearings are places where we have to complain. That was the best day we've been expressing our concerns, or residents have expressed their concerns”, Zekiaj said.

At the same time, citizen Veton Mujay argued that a considerable number of complaints by the residents of this municipality have not been taken into account.

According to him, everything went by bypassing citizens.

The citizens' incidents have so far not been taken into account, what has happened, lies have occurred, because certain government commissions have come, but have never met with residents. Everything has gone by bypassing the residents because they have known that residents have had reasonable and powerful complaints that are not easy to accept for choice. I don't see for the moment much hope that these people will get complaints, gradually with the work they're doing. The government in this case, if it continues so and the parliament, these are deliberately pushing a kind of revolt of this small population”, he added.

The head of the Kosovo Parliament's Spatial Plan for the <x0 National Park “Bessa Nemuna” has seen the agenda of two past sessions, however, hearings have been interrupted, failing to be considered.
