Rama: Doctors' salaries higher specialists than in Kosovo

Rama made these comments after the meeting of the Socialist leadership, where he stressed that they are in the final steps of election preparations, and at the end of this month, the registration of candidates, lists for advisers and, on the other hand, beyond this aspect is the programming aspect of the campaign, the specifics of different areas, as well as the essential content on the national level.
According to Rama, salary hikes have been made for professionals to have more interest and thus have better state services. He denied that wages are and pensions are rising under the election campaign.
“We have taken an important step with the increase in wages for expert doctors, which will finally, starting in April, be rewarded according to the region's higher salaries. We are actually equal to Serbia in wages, we are over Kosovo and at a high average. All countries are now pretty much about the same salary... We, fortunately, do not need to do such things to win elections. We win elections without doing any of this because I said it; unfortunately, opponents are below the minimum expectations of the Albanian public”, he said.
He has been asked when to formalise candidates for the May 14th elections.
“Where agreement has been made and there has been, as it were, synchronization about specific candidates currently being mayors has naturally continued. Final formalisation will become as always, before candidates are officially registered, but more or less, on general lines. We know what the mayor's team will be. We don't talk about concrete names”, he said.
As he also spoke of the outcome in the May 14th election.
I think we'll win a lot, but for the sake of truth, I want to be very direct with you. Victory in the face of such opponents is, in arithmeticly, minimal. We have to go beyond arithmetic victory because going into the field with opponents who aren't up to it and they're as unworthy to be in the field, it's not hard to win. The point is to go beyond arithmetic gains, and that means more to people, more to people because these kinds of situations are at great risk of being cut off by people because when it comes to arithmetic victory, there is never an easy victory, but things are not as difficult as they are when you have to deal with wages, when you need to be more supportive of pensioners, when you have to deal with more support for professionals, when you have to deal with investments, when you have to deal with the performance of many other things. This is the challenge on which we need to focus much more while the snoring policy should let go of the past”, he said.
