“As human, female and MP on the one hand and to MEP Musliu's voters on the other. This dictionary to MP Musliu is not being used for the first time, and, in the absence of sanctioning insults that have even content and racist orders, insults are just increasing”, the media communiqué says.
The KMDLNI further adds that freedom of speech and expression as basic human rights do not imply unlimited freedom or the possibility of them being misused to offend others in opposition not only to those rights but also to minimum moral standards.
“KMDLNY is surprised and concerned about its failure to respond to these repeated insults, both from institutions and the opinion. KMDLNj has believed that against these insults, regardless of who, age and gender, religious belief, political beliefs or social status, the Kosovo Police have had to react to the official task so far that insults are public, easily identifiable as that Kosovo Police Unit for Cyber Crimes respectively has the professional capacity to do so in the best possible way”, it is said in response.
“The dictionary of hatred or verbal violence is a sure warning even for physical violence. The KMDLNj condemns this insulting, deignive, exclusive and racist dictionary, in the concrete case against MEP Ganimete Musliu and her voters, and requires a clear and determined distance to human rights violators who are misusing social networks for the public lynching of Mrs. Musliu and her voters through insults that are completely opposite of the one who foresees freedom of speech and expression, as human rights and democratic value”
The KMDLN, among other things, says it strongly protects freedom of speech and expression when they are in line with these values by solidising with MEP Musliu, in defense of its rights, which they say were severely violated by “human rights offenders”.
“In the name of these rights, KMDLNj apologises to MP Musliu, its voters and all those facing similar situations”, the communique concludes.
