He said that even when the Law of Salaries has been in public consultation, they have indicated that judges' salaries could not affect because it conflicts with the constitution and violates the independence of the judicial system.
This law has mostly hit the justice system, because there has been greater wage reduction in the judicial system. So, we have lowering the salaries not only of judges such as pre-advised initially in public presentations by some government officials, but what's more disturbing is that we also have lower judicial system administration salaries”, Mehmeti said on the “Tampus” show at KTV.
According to him, the biggest reduction occurred in the judicial system, including the prosecutorial system, while saying that a large reduction of wages is also recorded in the judicial administration.
The “Ulja has hung from 41.93% for judges until falling to 25 about 26%, depending on which position judges at the Constitutional Level, the Apel level, and the Supreme Court's highest level. As I said at the outset, the reduction of wages has happened not only to judges and prosecutors, but also to the judicial administration staff. Here again, we have discounts ranging to 51%”, Mehmet added.
Mehmeti explained that due to the transit extension, there has been no salary cuts this month.
He said that over 70 percent of administration employees receive only 1.15 cents more by the Law of the Salaries.
