Lajcak has discussed a few minutes with officials of this party, following his meeting in the PDK.
AAK Deputy Chairman Ardian Gjini has said after meeting with him that the European proposal is valid and that there are good elements for Kosovo.
Kosovo is at an important moment and can move forward with an agreement proposed. There will be work on a continuous basis, but in the circumstances we face today, we feel that it is valuable. The AAK thinks there are serious achievements in this document, we understand that it is not the de jure recognition of Kosovo in it, but we understand that the agreement contains elements that create new relations in the region, especially between Kosovo and Serbia, creates circumstances that bring Kosovo into a whole other situation”.
Djind has reiterated that the AAK's position that supports “such an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, assisted by the EU”, has changed.
“Haradinaj is interested in the package of financial support that is necessary for Kosovo after reaching the agreement. There's a point in the agreement and other details that we think we should have clarity. We don't have a large dilemma”.
Djind has added that he hopes in the agreement at the meeting, to be held on March 18th in northern Macedonia between the parties.
“Hopefully there will be progress on the 18th, hopefully agreement between the two countries. What we've understood is that the annex is more of a clarification to the parties. The agreement is clear, the annex concerns clarification and competitions the parties seek. We hope that there will be an agreement on 18”.
