In his speech, Kurti has said that Kosovo is proving that it is a European-based state.
He has talked about the issue of visa liberalisation, where he has said he hopes that Kosovo citizens will finally be able to travel without visas from January 1st, 2017.
As we await future steps, we hope that our citizens will be able to travel visa-free to Europe from January 1st to 2024”.
Besides visa liberalisation, on December 15th we have officially applied for EU membership. This perspective is confirmed by the EU”.
The first executive has also talked about dialogue with Serbia, where it stressed that Kosovo is being constructive and creative in the process.
In terms of dialogue with Serbia, we are constructive and creative. We believe that the basic agreement constitutes an advantage of relations between the two states”.
“As far as minorities are concerned, we believe our Constitution offers the actual framework to ensure minority rights”.
Kosovo has witnessed itself as the most democratic state in the region. We have experienced remarkable progress in the last two years”.
We've made many different reforms. Kosovo is the second country to have ratified three agreements from the Berlin process”.
