At the media conference, the chairman of this union, Nedzat Llumnica, said the protest would be organised tomorrow for what he called the implementation of essential requirements.
He mentioned the challenges these workers face. He said there was a promise earlier by the manager, but that has so far not been realised, reports online Economy.
We've scheduled a protest tomorrow at 12: 00 p.m., to the director at “Zahir Pajaziti” Square. In order to put a pressure on the salary increase and we are told there will be no salary increases. We don't have a raise in salaries, we have a big risk at work, we've had promises from the director of September 22nd to have food shortages but it's not. The neglect that happened because we only talked once in three months. We invite all workers to protest for realisation of these essential requests”, he said.
The chairman of the Union of Independent Trade Unions of Kosovo (BSPK), At and Hykoki, called this union's demands legitimate, asked the management board to take on their demands.
That promise has to be made due to price hikes in the country.
The co-ordination of independent unions supports this protest. It is known that unions always use their tools to achieve their goal. This goal is too minimal for pay raise because in Kosovo we have tremendous price hikes. B The SPK requires manager and KEK board to sit down and talk. The demands are very legitimate very normal, the rise in wages, lots and so on, which I said are very important for our members”, he said.
