Japan calls for Kosovo, Serbia to engage constructive ways for implementation of European plan

Japan has made a reaction regarding recent developments within Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. In a reaction from the Foreign Ministry, official Tokyo welcomes the fact that Kurti and Vuciq have agreed that the need for additional discussions on the European proposal for “Agreement on normalisation of reports between Kosovo and Serbia”. The normalisation of reports between the two states through EU-mediated dialogue will reportedly contribute to the peace and stability of the Western Balkan region.
“Japania expects the two countries to engage constructively in implementing Agreement”, said in response.
“Japan supports a strongly united Europe under fundamental values and supports reform efforts by Western Balkan countries towards EU membership under “The Western Balkans Co-operation Initiative”. According to this initiative, Japan will continue to support the sustainable development of the Western Balkan region on its European path”, the response concludes.
