Gjillas: European plan is not good for Serbia, but not good to be rejected

Freedom and Justice Party Chairman (PLD) in Serbia Dragan Gjillas has estimated that the European plan for normalising relations between Serbia and Kosovo is inevitable because opinion in Serbia has been informed of the contents of the plan only to its accession and that the only solution is to ensure a better life for [...]
According to him, the European plan is the first plan for Kosovo to have been recognised by the citizens of Serbia, which has been published on the EU page, but only after the signing, Klankosova broadcasts.tv.
“We have received a document that cannot be discussed, it could be different, but the plan was accepted and is inevitable and it is in vain to talk about”, Gjillas said at a news conference, Serbian news agency “Beta” reports.
He added that the PDL has come up with proposals for resolving the Kosovo issue, but that the government has rejected them every time.
“Europe claims the plan has been accepted, while the government claims it will not implement the part for Kosovo's independence. For the PDL, the most problematic part of the plan is that Serbia will not oppose Kosovo's membership in international organisations”, Gjillas said.
Chairman The PLD estimated that with the opening of factories, universities and the development of parts of Kosovo where Serbs live, they would feel safer.
Kosovo's “state did not protect Serbs in Kosovo. Serbs are exposed to beatings and deportations from Kosovo, and our struggle for Kosovo makes sense only if Serbs live there”, Gjillas said further.
He stressed that the agreement on normalising relations is not good for Serbia, but that it is not good to either reject the agreed proposal.
Serbia must be in the EU. There won't be prosperity if we don't go that way, it's the best place to live. For us, the EU means higher wages, better health and education, a more developed economy and an independent judiciary”, the head of the judiciary said, among other things PDL in Serbia, Dragan Gjillas.
