Continuation of electricity further depletions citizens and businesses

The Energy Regulatory Office has warned reviewing electricity tariffs for 2023. Warnings of a 14 per cent price of electricity affect business damage and further deplete the pocket of citizens, assess economic connoisseurs. New electricity tariffs are expected to take effect by 1 [...]
New electricity tariffs are expected to take effect from April 1st this year until March 31st 2024. Some citizens we interviewed say that this still makes their pockets worse.
This is not okay, this situation is a citizen problem. This poverty against citizens, the government should think, this is very wrong”, a citizen told Radio Kosovo.
This will also be harmful to businesses, burdening their economic standards. Their representative, the chairman of the Kosovo Alliance of Business, Agim Sahini, tells Radio Kosovo that this 14 per cent increase will not be welcome.
The country's “government should devote itself to keeping the citizens' standards at the level even so heavily burdened, if that will happen and possibly yes, citizens' baskets will be more expensive. Even with the Law on Salaries, there is much dissatisfaction, there are no changes in the private sector, because there is no major movement. If that happens, the business economy and citizens will be heavier”, Sahin said.
The economy's recogniser, Safet Gerjaliu, speaking of Radio Kosovo, says Kosovo has lost the battle with energy, at moments when the construction of new generation capacities is cut off, and on the other hand there is a politicisation in terms of alternative energy.
“should not be expected better because prices have been warned they will rise annually. The government must build new production capacities, and in particular alternative energy, and in this direction we are standing down. While local electricity production is being blocked because of the politicisation of bureaucracy, import is increasing and today in Hungary's bead 1 kilowatt of electricity is 473 euros, so I believe it must be learned from these failures, but I am afraid that the old energy politicisation ava is continuing further”, Gerjaliu said.
Different, Z The RRE conducts the review and assignment of tariffs each year. The new tariffs will take effect on April 1, 2023, and will be in force until March 31st 2024. The ZERE staff proposal is that the needed growth is about 14 percent.
Kosovo has closed 2022 with an average inflation rate of 11.6 percent. The increases have suffered prices of almost all food products and services.
