American Embassy: Opposition's opposition to EU proposal worries us, their views do not match ours

“We are concerned with statements made by leaders and opposition party officials expressing their opposition to the EU proposal. These views do not match US support for the” proposal, says US Embassy spokesman for Reporter.
In the released statement, the US has made it clear that it supports the relaxed dialogue by the European Union, and the European proposal for normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
The former “The United States has repeatedly made it clear that we support the relaxed dialogue from the EU. In particular, we fully support the EU proposal for the road to normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia. Our joint efforts to further this proposal have included consultations with Kosovo opposition parties”, the statement says.
This spokesperson for the American Embassy in Pristina stresses that even Biden and Blinken highlighted strong support for the EU proposal to advance Kosovo towards regional stability and European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

President Biden and Secretary of State Blinken, in their latest communications on Kosovo Independence Day, underlined that the proposal has our strong support and will lead many Kosovo towards greater regional stability, economic prosperity and European and Euro-Atlantic integration”, the statement concludes.
