In local elections, four coalitions and three independent political forces competed.
Coalition of The DPS has managed to secure 12 mandates -- the Movement for Tuz 1 and the Democrats 1 Mandat.
These are preliminary records that have emerged from the vote estimates counted at polling stations, while on the streets of Tuzi Albanians have flocked to the holiday, congratulating each other for this victory.
In the “coalition The Albanian forum”, led by the Albanian Alternative of the current mayor of Tuzi, Nick Gelosha, also includes the Democratic League of Albanians, the Albanian National Union and the Democratic League in Montenegro.
On the other hand is the broad coalition consisting of incumbent President Milo Djukanovic's Democratic Party of Socialists, the Social Democrats, the Bosniak Party and the Democratic Union of Albanians.
These two lists were named top contenders in the Tuz local elections win.
Decades ago, Tuzi was an administrative part of Podgorica, then one of the capital's municipalities. Tuzi residents waited nearly two decades to split into an independent municipality, which was the main political requirement of the Albanian political spectrum in Montenegro.
In the first elections, after partitioning from the capital's municipality, President Djukanovic's Democratic Party of Socialists lost power in Tuz, where until then there was a strong electoral base and held power in this municipality.
