With the presence of some of its founders, Saturday's activists of the national issue and other citizens, for the establishment of the organisation, its act and its liberal role, some of its former leaders spoke.
The leader of the GRK-OMLK organisation in 1974-1981, Mehmet Hajrizi, speaking of the historical context in which this organisation was founded and operated half a century ago, presented the challenges that conveyed it during the event, the results, historical importance and martyrs that emerged from its bosom.
Hajrizi said that professional organisation with conspiracy techniques, strict discipline and advanced methods, the Kandesdin press, the expansion of all occupied Albanian territories, the cultivating of the best values of the NSH tradition, links with Albania, the massive organisation of the exile about the ideas of freedom, women's participation, the preparation and organisational contribution of the 1981 uprising, the written experience that was exploited by the following generations, and the preparation of Kosovo towards armed liberation war were the main results of this organisation.
The former GRK-OMLK leader also remembered the 13 Kosovo martyrs that emerged from the organisation's Bay.
“From GRK- OMLK has fallen into liberation efforts and have been declared martyrs and heroes, these activists: Kadri Zeka, Rexhep Malaj, Nuhi Berisha, Nasser Hajrizi, Aslan Piraeus, Bajram Bahtiri, Zija Shemsiu, Afrim Dzitia, Geeva Lladrovci, Isa Kastrati, Abdullah Tahiri, Hfir Shala (undiscovered) and Avdilgafur Luma. In this jubilary anniversary, we humble ourselves with the pithets before the shed blood for the freedom of their homeland and ours, keeping at the pedestal of the moral and combative values of our people, the name, work and their eternal glory”, the event Mehmet Hajrizi stressed.
Speaking of the memorial plaque placed in the house where the GRK organisation was founded, Hajrizi said it is the first symbolic sign of commemorating this organisation that has left many deep traces in the lives and resistance of Albanians to the bloody Serb and Yugoslav regime.
In the name of the Society “Movement”, the renowned national affair event -- simultaneously one of the founders of this organisation, Binak Ulaj -- revealed details from its founding day and at the same time detailed important aspects of the organisation's homeland activity.
The Ulaj event said that the establishment of this plaque is within the association's activity to remember and honour the venues of national organisation and activity.
“With these tablets expresses gratitude and gratitude, not only to a family member but to generations of family members, members of a blood, without the commitment, dedication and sacrifice of which the national movement would not be successful”, the Ulaj event stressed.
One of the organisation's leaders, now Kosovo Parliament MP Hidajet Hyseni, also put the circumstances under which the organisation was organised and acted on. He also particularly portrayed the image, activity and role of the leader of the GRK organisation- OMLK, Mehmet Hajrizi, national square.
“We are here today to remember and perpetuate the resistance, effort, sacrifice and contributions of successive homeland generations and the generation-to-generation liberation family, the large Hajrizi” family, Hydjet Hyseni stressed the event.
A group of activists then made the discovery of the memorial tablet on the record of the establishment of this organization.
GRK-OMLK was one of the largest and most organised illegal organisations in Kosovo in the '70s. It was founded on March 3rd 1973 at Bahtir Hajriz's home in Pristina's Taslige neighbourhood, while the chairman had chosen the event, Kadri Osmani. With Osman's fall in prison a year later, the chairman had been elected Mehmet Hajriz, staying at the helm of the organisation until his imprisonment on December 18, 1981, following widespread demonstrations.
GRK- OMLK, along with other provisional organisations, is considered the foundation of the later homeland and liberation event, which culminated in the glorious organisation and war of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
