The executive director of the Kosovo Commission Association, Saban Ibrahimi, said no municipal project was accepted in the budget law for 2024.
The “never occurred between the first and second reading of the draft budget for the Republic of Kosovo to accept any project by municipalities. Now, no project has been accepted”, he said.
Among other things, Abraham showed a reason for his decision to force the mayors to knock on the ministry's doors.
“Only 22.4 percent of the total budget of the Republic of Kosovo is divided for the local level, 77.6 (percent) remain at the central level. And they don't have mayors without knocking on the ministry's doors because the money is at the central level of”.
