Details from his testimony:
On February 9, 1999, Dragan Ivanishevic claims to have been kidnapped by several members of the Kosovo Liberation Army. With him was another Serb, Velko Markovic. He finds himself missing even today.
However, during questioning by lawyers, the witness confirmed that he was Serbia's wartime soldier in Kosovo.
He has said that by the time the war began, he was mobilised into the army and served at the “Territorial Protection” unit in Vushtrri.
I mobilized, mobilized, certainly when the war began. From March 25th of the year (1999) to June 14, 1999. It was the Territorial Protection Unit Vushtrri”, Ivanishevic said.
I've been to this area. Sometimes we went to offer help elsewhere. I was in Vushtrri all the time, but I was also in the surrounding villages. I've been to my village. I have also been in several places, in countries that sent us for help”, said witness Dragan Ivanishevic.
Surprisingly, he declared he is unaware of the massacres in Vushtrri that were committed by the Serbia Army. All of this under the questions Thaci's lawyer, Luka Misetic, asked.
No, it's the first time I've heard that. It's the first time I've ever heard of these 1000 people”, the witness said.
