Today it is three years since the Specialised Chambers in The Hague made public the indictment against former KLA leaders Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi.
In an interview for Euronews Albania, Bekim Colak, former European Integration Minister and former Thaci advisor said there is no evidence and no witnesses to confirm the charges that have been brought against former KLA leaders.
“Based on what I have seen in open public hearings, one thing is certain; none of those who have witnessed so far have served evidence which should testify to the prosecution's charges. The same is true of witnesses for closed sessions, none of them include Thaci and the others in heard crimes. But the public has no transparency for this process that hearings are being kept closed”, he said.
