The Serbian list a year ago decided to leave Kosovo's central institutions, as well as municipalities in the country's north. The resignations gave Serbian members of the Kosovo Police, judiciary and prosecution in these municipalities. A few days after the decision, nine new deputies of the Serbian List were sworn in, who continue to be paid without coming to the Kosovo Assembly. Opposition MPs say this party has been the founder of all tensions that followed this year. They call on institutions to take action against them and the retired members will not be allowed to return to public institutions. Meanwhile, the Vetevendosje Movement considers the Serbian List no longer has the political power and confidence of Serbian citizens.
Vetevendosje Movement MP Mefail Bajcinovci tells Kosovo that the north has never had more sovereignty. He says those who have removed Kosovo uniforms can no longer return to serve in the Kosovo Police.
While the parliamentary majority MP declares that there is an extension of sovereignty in the north, the opposition is not agreeing with that.
Following Serbian List decision on leaving Kosovo institutions, deputy PDK, Rashit Qalaj points out that over a year there have been tensions in the north, as well as acts of aggression, where Sergeant Africa Bulnjak was killed.
He adds that no police officer who has handed over the Kosovo Police uniform should return to work.
And Democratic League of Kosovo MP Armend Zemaj emphasises that Serb List deputies have no responsibility to the citizen vote, but to Serbian politics.
The Serbian Ticket's decision on leaving Kosovo institutions came after the Kosovo Police Director for the northern region's decision to suspend Nenad Djurovic. He had refused to implement the Kosovo institutions' decision to register Serbian illegal license plates to those RKS of the Republic of Kosovo. / KP/
