The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) expresses great concern over the campaign of raids being held by Kosovo Specialised Chambers “towards former state officials and our members”.
To PDK, these raids are completely unnecessary, biased and go to the level of political persecution.
Kosovo has established Specialised Chambers to offer justice with European standards, rather than spectacles on its behalf. Above all, this persecution campaign broadcasts the failure of the Specialised Chambers to argue their charges in the” judicial processes, said in response.
Kosovo's Specialised Chambers have been founded with the decision of the Kosovo Assembly, with clear and limited mandates to investigate alleged organ trafficking crimes.
Unfortunately, since the first charges against former KLA leaders and former Kosovo state leaders were made public, it has become clear that the focus of the Specialised Chambers has come out of mandate and any institutional control, becoming a mechanism that follows only Albanians”, it is said further.
The PDK urges Kosovo's Specialised Chambers to stop this persecution campaign and return to their work within their mandate and scope.
