Former Prime Minister Jakup Krasniqi's daughter, Greece Krasniqi, has made a touching writing for her father, who is being held in custody in The Hague, has been three years. He was arrested on November 4, 2020.
Krasniqi wrote that these three years have spent “like hell”, until he said he didn't believe my “vision would be a small room and black hidden behind 12 iron doors”.
In this “room”, he said that he celebrated his birthdays, successes, engagement, marriage, and how he received news of becoming a grandfather in that same room.
We cried and laughed, recited poetry, played cards. We talked so much about your life! Surprisingly, even that wall - hanging painting looks so beautiful on every visit we have. We have been unjust these three years, we have not learned from your absence, but we have grown strong. In these three years of injustice, our freedom had only one name: Jakup Krasniqi” wrote Krasniqi.
Former Kosovo Assembly Chairman Jakup Krasniqi was arrested by Special Prosecutor's investigators on November 4th, and the same day he was transferred to The Hague.
Works weighing down on Krasniqi and other former KLA leaders have to do with war crimes, illegal or arbitrary detention, cruel treatment, torture and unlawful murder, and crimes against humanity in prison, other inhumane acts, torture, unlawful murder, forced extinction of persons and persecution, which, according to Specialised Chambers, were committed between March 1998 and September 1999.
