Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has provided another interview for the American media, in which he has rejected the White House claims that Israel would pause four hours a day for the war.
It has followed much confusion last night after various reports by American and Israeli officials about whether there will be hours of Israeli war against Hamas in Gaza.
When asked by Fox News about this issue, the Israeli leader has explained that “, the war continues against Hamas enemy... but in certain places for a certain period of hours here, a few hours there, we want to facilitate a safe transition of citizens away from the war zone”.
He did not say it in an experimental way, but likely he referred to Salah al Dean Street, which Israel has opened as a “humanitarian command” several times this week to allow Gaza citizens to leave the south.
Netanyah also said there was no timetable for war, but that it would end after Hamas is defeated.
The prime minister made it clear that although Israel did not intend to conquer or govern Gaza, it envisioned a radically reformed territory and a wider region.
“We do not want to seek to govern Gaza, we do not seek to invade, but we ask to give it and us a better future throughout the Middle East”, he said. Advertisement
Otherwise, Israel has launched an offensive on the Gaza Strip following the sudden attack of Hamas militants on Israeli territory.
