Libun Aliu's ministry eases new position “tenders' balloon”, sanctioned by the US

According to a decision published by journalist Mentor Buzhala, Nexhat Krasniqi is said to have been temporarily appointed Director of the Road Infrastructure Department, the Ministry of Environment, Space Planning and Infrastructure.

Under the document, the decision was enacted yesterday (November 15th).

The United States sanction Nexhat Krasniqi, former director of Procurement at the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Kosovo, as generally inappropriate for entering the United States, due to his involvement in major corruption. As a public official responsible for overseeing procurement contracts, Krasniqi has misused his public position by accepting bribes in exchange for granting the contract for allowing industrial park construction in the Drensian municipality of the Elton 64x1> operating company, the DASA decision said.

But who's the “tender father”?

Nexhat Krasniqi, who survived all powers in Kosovo, years ago was convicted of misuse of office within the ministry, but later with the decision of the Independent Council of Oversight for Civil Service (KPMSHCK), was back in office.

 

 

He was also involved in a beating at MMPHI in 2022.

The current justice minister, Albulen Haxhiu, years ago in the quality of the Vetvendosje Movement MP, had raised questions in the country regarding the case of Nexhat Krasniqi, who, although sentenced to effective prison, has continued his work as director of public procurement at the Ministry of Infrastructure.

 

 

She had asked then Minister Pal Lekaj why she has allowed the return of the procurement director to the Ministry of Infrastructure, the person who was sentenced by the Constitutional Court, has been confirmed by the Court of Appeals, Supreme and even the Constitutional Court, writes Reporter.

Nexhat Krasniqi, known as the tender father, chief prosecutor at the Ministry of Infrastructure, convicted of corruption, with an all-powerful decision by the tribunal, is not often mentioned in the media for different links within the Ministry of Infrastructure.
