Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti last night has provided details concerning his meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and France's President Emmanuel Macron, where he has agreed to sign the agreement with Brussels, the Ohrid annex and the draft for Association.

However, it showed the conditions Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, imposed, which he is concerned about.

Kurti, in a conversation with Karl-Renner-Institute director Maria Malschnig, has said the paradox is that Kosovo and Serbia have agreements in Ohrid and Brussels, but the problem is that Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has said yes not to sign.

Now he regrets that he said yes, said yes to the concept rather than to the content. And then there's the implementation annex that has 12 points, but we've also recently had a draft state for the Association of Serb majority municipalities, which was brought in by the five separate messengers I've given my criticism of. In my meeting with German Chancellor and France's president, they stressed the urgency of choosing this issue and I said despite the criticism I have against the draft association which is better than the one in 2013 or 2015, even though it's not as good as I would write it myself or as much as I would like, I said we are signing the Brussels agreement tonight, the Ohrid annex and this draft in a package and I asked the German Chancellor and the president of France, the status of candidacy and peace partnership, but President Vuciq, after meeting with the same people said that I cannot sign it in the same letter when I asked the prime minister. We must have two separate documents, I sign with the EU”.

“Serbia has signed with the EU, I have no conflict with the EU, will we normalise relations with Serbia, of course I have to sign it, even with my predecessors Thaci and Mustafa, and I with Prime Minister Brnabyq I have signed, so it is not that there is no precedent to sign and implement, but then despite the traditional refusal to sign it he requested even a mutual letter that will be sent to the mediators, where it said Serbia will never recognise Kosovo, there will be no seat in the UN, if it depends on the third of its integrity and that does not worry, and that's the new question of the agreement, that's a fundamental violation. What I want to see is that my friends who have brokered this dialogue and are referrals when there are violations of the agreement, where there are violations of each container, they have to whistle, when there are violations, when there's fouls to whistle. There are so many violations that are not being considered and we are stuck here“, he said, hoping that there will be a proper way to sign the” agreements, Kurti said.

Kurti also considers that I now need the extradition of Radojciki's group and the arrest of members of two Serb organisations Kosovo has declared terrorist.

Government head cited barricades, injuries to 90 KFOR soldiers, the kidnapping of three police officers, and the murder of Sergeant Africa Bunjak

He said Kosovo does not need the fifth episode, but what is needed is the support of the EU and the US that needs to be clearly, endlessly because official Belgrade's fingerprints are above anything that happened on September 25th.

Milan Radosic's extradition

Kurti requested the extradition to Kosovo of Milan Radojici and his group, who committed a terrorist act in Kosovo by killing one policeman and injuring two others. Radojciq in Serbia, according to Kurti, has been held only two hours by police and released. And for his extradition and the criminal group, the prime minister also sought the international community's help.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti made these comments in an interview in Vienna, attended by the Vienna Economic Forum.

He said over 5m euros of weapons, armoured vehicles and heavy military equipment have been confiscated. Kurt also mentioned the scenarios Serbia had planned to use in Kosovo, killing pilgrims in Manhattan but also clergymen. And Serbia had also planned that we would use the army, but that did not happen and Serbia failed plans, Kurti said.

My call to the Interior Minister was zero victims of civilians, no shot by our police officers on the monastery wall. What we need now is the extradition of this group of Milaln Radojich. He was detained for a few hours and released immediately. Northern Brigades and Civil Protection, two terrorist organisations declared such on 20 June this year. Now we need the extradition of Radojcicit”, Kurti said.

“Liberalism is very useful, but too late, since Kosovo has met the conditions years ago, and now we need EU integration, receiving candidate country, and I hope that we eagerly answer EU questions. Winning liberalisation a few years ago was a big event, it's already not a big”.

Kurt here also talked about employment abroad, the job market, and remittances

In questions even before journalists, the prime minister said it is the third time he takes part in this discussion, until he said he arrives within a few days to fulfil his two-thirds term as head of government, while this period he considered successful.

“Since the declaration of independence in 2008, we have had economic and democratic progress. We had economic growth of 10 .6 % gross domestic product in 2021, in 2022 was 5.2%, while in this year 3.8% real growth”, said Kurti, who also talked about export, energy crisis and other economic developments in the region.

Kurti yesterday in Vienna, Austria, also met with Northern Macedonia Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski

The prime minister's office announced that, in addition, they have discussed Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.

“U discussed the latest developments within the process of dialogue mediated by the European Union and the 21 October meeting with European leaders, with Prime Minister Kurti announcing his counterpart on the position of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo that signing the agreements would imply accession, and therefore guarantees for full implementation of the Constitutional Agreement and Enexis Zambas”, ZKMA reported.

In the margins of the Vienna Economic Forum, Kurti and Kovacevski spoke of good interstate reports and the “dedication of the two countries to the common goal of integration into the European Union, as well as challenges along this round of”

“Prime Minister Kurti stressed the importance of deepening co-operation in both the bilatheral and regional plans in areas of mutual interest, with the aim of advancing further good neighbourlyness, and in the service of citizens of both countries. In this context was also discussed for the energy sector, the potential the two countries also have strategies on this sector”, said the ZKM report.

Following yesterday's meeting of the Council of Foreign Affairs, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Josep Borrell chaired an EU-Western Balkans ministerial meeting that gathered EU foreign ministers and their counterparts from the Western Balkans.

The Council of Europe's official page shows that the discussion focused on common security challenges in the context of continued global and regional security threats.

High Representative Borrell underlined the importance of unity and strong co-operation with Western Balkan partners to build stability and promote peace and stability on the continent. In this context, it recalled that the European Union relies on candidate countries as reliable partners in foreign, security and defence policy, including when it comes to approaching EU decisions in these areas.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange views about the challenges in the region and its European future at a time when the EU enlargement policy has gained new momentum and after the recent adoption of the Commission's enlargement reports praising each partner's progress on its path to the EU.

High Representative Borrell reiterated the EU's continued strong political, technical and financial support for all potential candidates and candidates to help them advance key political, institutional, social and economic reforms.

In this direction, the new growth plan adopted last week should enable partners to step up reforms and investments to significantly accelerate the enlargement process and increase their economies.

This meeting was attended by: Albania's Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, Bosnia and Herzegovina Foreign Affairs Minister Elmedin Konakovic, Kosovo Foreign Minister Donika Gervalla-Schariz. EU Foreign Ministers for Foreign Affairs of Montenegro Filip Ivanovic, Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Fatmire Isaaci and Serbia's Minister of European Integrations Tanja Miševic
