Malisheve's former lawyer, Isni Kilajt, Brian Edwards, during the hearing that is taking place at The Hague has said his client poses no danger, as well as sought his release until the investigation was carried out.
Edwards said Kilay has shown readiness to be immediately interviewed without any lawyer present.
He said Kilay is a family member and has extremely good connections with the community he lives in.
In his arrest report, I can't imagine there might be anything confidential or private, but they haven't been used to it. I can't think of anything confidential. Kilaj has cooperated with free will in his arrest. There must be some kind of chronology problem by the prosecution... he's willing to be interviewed voluntarily. He will be 60 in December. He's family, he's married and he's got kids. He has extremely strong ties to the community. There is no lesser danger of seeking to prevent the process or any criminal offense. A 60-year-old man who's never been arrested before, November 2nd. My statements will be written by the end of the day. He is an extremely good candidate to be released for Kosovo”, Edwards has said.
The judge asked prosecutor Holliang to give a deadline when there is expected to be an indictment for Cilayn, while the prosecutor called for time after he said “he still doesn't know how much material has”.
It depends on the analysis of the material we just received, a piece we got yesterday, today is Saturday. We still do not know what material we have. On November 20th, we will be able to give a more accurate prediction”, prosecutor Holling said.
