Salaries were caused by Kosovo's elite police units (The Special Intervention Unit and the Exhibit Treatment Unit) to come out and protest Wednesday ahead of the Kosovo Government's target.
Their demands concerned classification of job risk as well as non-involvement in other legal supplements.
And the representative of those entities, who were not identified, called on Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti to consider their demands.
We are unique in our demands because they are legitimate and emergency. We will not hold back from their fulfillment. We invite the government to take concrete steps”, he said during his speech.
Regarding the protest held Wednesday, former Interior Minister Ekrem Mustafa also spoke.
In a short interview for Clancosova. tv he said the government should be in police service.
“given that the police have specific jobs, obligations to them should be carried out by”, Mustafa said.
He said he didn't need to come to this situation, referring to the protest.
“Extensions are bound to be paid and brought to line with salaries”, Mustafa stressed.
The former minister said that at the helm of the MPB, three times he had prepared the project for health and life insurance, for police and firefighters.
I couldn't live it because I had obstacles from the Ministry of Finance, even though the total amount for 2 insurances per year hasn't exceeded 5 million and 500 thousand euros”.
In addition, he said that when he took office, the state's debt to police and firefighters was millions, while adding that he has managed to turn that debt into zero.
I personally when I took office, the state debt to police and firefighters has exceeded more than 9m euros. I've managed to pay you a whole line of salaries. Also paid to additional hours, as well as other additions: riskiness, experience of work and other benefits”, the former interior minister said.
He says the preliminary government had taken power with zero debts to the Kosovo police and all units, “in addition to the firefighters I have left unannounced 900 thousand euros, even though the means were, the access procedures from the Ministry of Finance were delayed, and he knows whether the obligation to firefighters was committed to”.
Following the expression of dissatisfaction over the additional wages and risk at work by the Special Intervention Police Unit and the one for Exploziv and Deminim on Wednesday day, the Special Operations Unit will also protest today.
Klan Kosova learns that their protest will take place within offices, unlike the other two elite entities that staged the protest before the government's targets.
