Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu, in a brief proposal for the media, has said that fire, which swept a section of the Institute of Legal Medicine building, has not damaged mortore remains, samples, nor archive of this institution.
The first information, according to her, shows that the fire has occurred as a result of defects in the electrical system, although this is not yet confirmed.
“From yesterday's assessments as well as the communication we've had that two offices have been burned within the Institute of Legal Medicine of Medical Experts, there has been no burning of samples or of mortore waste”, she said in front of the media.
Construction of the facility of the Law Medicine Institute, according to Haxhiu, has not been made with higher standards.
“While in 2006 it was built on foot and go, and we already plan that together with responsible members of the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Public Administration to make an assessment of this institution”.
