Gunshot between thieves and policemen in Ferizaj (VIDEO)

A Kosovo Police unit has faced gunfire from four thieves who have attempted to rob a ATM at the gas station “Hib Petrol” in Ferizaj on Thursday at midnight.

Armed robbery and confrontation of thieves with police occurred around 4:50 Friday morning, police said.

In a news release, police said four people suspected were equipped with long arms.

“Suspects have begun shooting guns in the direction of the police car, largely damaging the official car, but the two policemen in the car have not suffered any injuries”, police said.

Suspected officers fled the scene, according to police.

“While the shootout was also on the part of police officials, the suspects have managed to get away from the scene with a car suspected of a coloured caravan field”, police said.

Meanwhile, a local site on the social Facebook network published a video on which shots were heard at the scene.

Police said the case was named in the direction of three criminal acts: Attempted murder, causing general danger and armed robbery.
