Dritan Rexhepi, head of the drug criminal organisation known as the “Bello” company has been arrested in Istanbul. He was in international search of Albania and Italy.
Turkish media write that the operation was conducted in Istanbul. The minister for Internal Affairs, Ali Yerlicaya, has reacted to the issue, who said Rexhepi had entered through Istanbul airport with a Colombian passport under the name Benjamin Omar Peres Garcia, writes “KlanTv”.
According to what the minister announced, Rexhepi was caught behind intelligence information in co-operation with the Italian police.
“Our fight against drug traffickers and against organised crime will continue to grow decisively”, he wrote on social networks.

We remember that Rexhepi has been taken as defendant by the Special Court along with 6 other people as organisers and the order of the kidnapping and murder of Jan Pringa in Kamez in 2021. According to SPAK, his brother Astrit Prenga had robbed a amount of cocaine at a port in England.
For the return of narcotics, in collaboration with Aldo Majnishta, Martin Blerta, Corado Gestane and Artan Dochain, they have threatened Astrit Pringa's brother, Jan Pringga, who, according to the SPAK investigations, has lost his life in the violence exercised.
Dritan Rexhepi is also looking for a 1998 murder for which he was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Rexhepi has been sentenced by Italian authorities to 20 years in prison. He is accused of being part of the group that has managed to traffic large quantities of cocaine from Latin America to Europe.
Rexhepi, considered one of the drug bosses, was sentenced in absentia after being on the run after the bail he won in Ecuador early 2022.
