Otherwise, the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo (PSRK) announced on Wednesday that in a joint operation with the Kosovo Police, six persons suspected of producing and distributing counterfeit money, namely, metal coins 2-euros. Of this action, cash bags worth over 85 thousand euros have been seized.
In the SPRK report, it is said that a operation has been conducted, along with the Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, during which an operation has been identified that deals with production/separation and the market of counterfeit money, allegedly produced in a neighbouring state with Kosovo, and then by criminal groups spread to countries in the region.
“Special Procurory reports that six suspected persons, for criminal acts ʹ the counterfeiting of money (production and circulation) by Article 296 of the No.08/074 Code of the Republic of Kosovo, since the same were the distributors of counterfeit money, namely metal coins two (2) carbon coins forged”, it is said.
According to the SPRK, three of the suspects are citizens of Northern Macedonia, while the other three citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
“From this operation, bags have been seized with a total of 2-bundled metal in value of eighty-five thousand and ten (85.010.00) euros, allegedly forged. Four (4) cars used by arrested persons have also been seized, and seven (7) mobile phones” are further said. /A Vow for Justice
