The European Union's expansion is the European Union's priority has highlighted the Croatian top diplomat at a meeting with EU foreign ministers at the helm with Josep Borrell, chief of European diplomacy.
We will meet with colleagues from the Western Balkans in the afternoon to show readiness and determination for the region. Enlargement, is still the priority of the EU, but to make it a success story, the key is to meeting the criteria, implementing necessary reforms and listing with EU values and standards.
Good bilateral relations and regional co-operation remain essential. We hope to see progress by the end of the year, or next year, in particular when it comes to opening membership negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina and opening the first chapter with Albania and Northern Macedonia. And also, the long-awaited visa liberalisation for Kosovo citizens, since January 2024, is a big step ahead of”, Grlic Radman has said.
