Former Constitutional Judge Shows whether Association Will Be a Third Power in Kosovo

Former Constitutional Court Judge Kadri Kryeziu said that the Association of Serb majority municipalities would not represent a third level of governance in Kosovo.

When a power is created, it must come apart. It must have a base, or it must come from local power, or from central power. Local power is part of central power. This is where it's fighting for power. They don't take it from power”, Kadriu told RTV21.

He acknowledged that it can figuratively be the third power.

However, it is not the third level because this responsible chairman has to grant Minister of Power Local”, Kryeziu said.

He assured that Kosovo will not lose to the Association of Serb majority municipalities.

According to him, this will help Kosovo in the integration process in the European Union.

I fully believe in this because everything will be created based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo”, Kryeziu said.

He added that such a draft status does not need to go to the Kosovo Assembly for discussion.
