Fourteen members of the British Armed Forces (KFOR) that have lost their lives during the Kosovo service are now commemorated in a ceremony organised by the British Embassy in Pristina.
The ceremony is held near the United Kingdom Memorial at “Edit Durham” Square in downtown Pristina, where British Ambassador to Kosovo Nicholas Abbott said the memory of the fallen is a special event for the embassy.
The Minister of Defence in the Government of Kosovo, Ejup Macedonia, said British forces have provided a great deal for Kosovo during the war, and especially in the phase of Kosovo liberation, peace and security.
Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Chairman Ramush Haradinaj told Kosovo Press that the United Kingdom has been powerful in promoting Kosovo's freedom.
The ceremony continued with the English priest's prayer, in defense of all soldiers around the world who remain for peace and freedom and all safe home, with families of military personnel who have died and look after their families now and in the days ahead. / KP/
